The opportunity
Jawad needed an architectural portfolio that felt premium, like a physical gallery, but without sacrificing speed. The challenge was displaying large, high-res images instantly. The goal was to create an experience that feels more like an exhibit than a typical portfolio website. A standard WordPress template would have killed the user experience with slow loads and generic transitions. We needed a handcrafted, performant approach.
What we did
We engineered the site using Next.js for server-side rendering and static image optimization, ensuring lightning-fast load times. Motion.dev was implemented for silky-smooth page transitions, giving that 'gallery walk-through feel. We built a dark, minimal aesthetic to put 100% of the focus on his work. Each project section allows the visuals to speak.
The outcome
A portfolio that feels handcrafted, much like his architecture. The site achieved a 98/100 Performance score. More importantly, Jawad received 3x the typical callbacks for job applications and secured a job position. It's a portfolio that works as hard as he does.
